 Disappointed, very poor quality for the priceOct 19, 2009
I have previously lived abroad in Europe and wanted to find a toast rack like I had used when living in England. When I purchased this toast rack, I was 99% sure it wasnt stainless steel as I'm sure they would have stated that in the details. The rack came to me and its a dingy metal color and you can tell its very poor quality--I dont know what kind of cheap metal it is--but its been spray painted or coated with a fake I suppose "stainless steel" paint lacquer and really doesnt look that great. I was thinking of returning it, but thought I'd try it out..I will make sure to check it to see if it chips off as god knows what kind of chemicals have been used. I wouldnt mind if the price had reflected the quality, but since I paid apprx $40 for this, I cant help but think the actual cost must be around $3 from some Chinese importer.
I took my chances and unfortunately, I was very disappointed at the bad cheap quality and the price of this item. If it had been $10 or $12--ok, fair enough, but not $40!!!! I shop at Sur La Table and Williams Sonoma and dont mind paying a bit extra for quality--but this was naff, dont waste your money.

 Perfect toast at last!Mar 02, 2009
While in England we noticed that their toast is better, and we quickly figured out why: No "toast sweat" thanks to the ubiquitous toast rack! Thanks so much for offering this product. It's exactly like the ones we saw everywhere in England. Now we can enjoy perfect toast here at home.
