seems a little differentJul 30, 2008
By Maryriver Seems not quite as smooth as in bags. Maybe I haven't founf the right amount to put in my pot but it seems harsher than when I get the bags. Still my favorite tea - without it waiting for me I might just sleep all day.

Taylors Yorkshire Gold Tea loose leaf teaJan 12, 2008

This is a really good tea, though a bit more costly than some English-type teas of lesser quality. I can't say this the one I prefer, but it's one of two that I prefer. My older brother tried it and buys nothing else now. It typically comes in a bag rather than the round container shown...which is a bit disappointing since the bags are throwaway while the round cardboard containers can be reused as tea caddies.
A robust tea worth the price!Feb 01, 2012

I just made my first cup, and the tea lives up to its great reputation. I'd been wanting to try this brand since I found out that my great- great-grandfather was a Dane from Yorkshire, who immigrated to the USA. I'm sitting here in the US Heartland having my first cuppa Yorkshire Gold. I will buy this again, absolutely. I made it in a pre-warmed mug with 1/2 scoop of loose leaves and poured boiling water over it. Steeped for 2 minutes, added a splash of milk and a 1/2 spoon of sugar. This is a rich, robust, slightly aromatic tea: YUM!
Best Tea AroundAug 31, 2011
By Counterfeit_God As long as you know how to brew loose leaf correctly, (you can look up how to online), you will find that this is one of the best teas out there. I have tried yorkshire gold bags and those are amazing to but the loose leaf is so much more flavorful and refreshing. give a try.
Hard to get but worth itFeb 01, 2011

It's excellent loose tea that's almost impossible to get in stores. Having to order it online is a pain, but it's worth it.
